Katherine A. Boesken, 74, of Menominee, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015, surrounded by her family at Bay Area Medical Center. She was born on May 27, 1941, to the late Phillip and Ellen (Mullen) Julias in Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1959. On November 23, 1961, Katherine married Barry Boesken in Niagara Falls. They moved to Menominee in 1983. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, crocheting and knitting. She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
Katherine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Barry Boesken of Menominee, MI; five children, Barry (Melinda) Boesken of Niagara Falls, NY, Cory (Dennis) Rusch of Krakow, WI, Kelly (Darin) Miller of Menominee, MI, Barbara (Andy) Callahan of Wallace, MI, and Timothy (Nicole) Boesken of Appleton, WI; eleven grandchildren, Kimberly and Jennifer Boesken, Anna and Joey Rusch, Scott and Anthony Miller, Cassie and Kyle Callahan, Nathan and Sarah Boesken and Evan Petraski; a great-grandson, Mylan Miller; two brothers, Phillip 'Butchy' (Allison) Julias of Niagara Falls, NY and Joseph (JoAnne) Julias of Maine; a sister-in-law, Edwina Ruffner of Niagara Falls, NY; and special friend, Pam Nerat of Menominee, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William 'Buddy' Julias; and special friend, John Nerat.
A gathering will be held at the Thielen Funeral Home, 1403 Newberry Ave., Marinette, WI on Thursday, December 17th from 11 AM until 1 PM.
