  Niagara Gazette - 2/19/1947 George Schwenk Dies Here at Age of 85 George Schwenk. 85. of 1413 Eighth street, died in Memorial hospital yesterday afternoon, after fracturing his hip In a fall at his home on Monday. A native of .Germany. Mr. Schwenk came to this city about 85 years ago. He was formerly employed by the Aluminum Company of America here and was retired 18 years ago after 25 years of service with that firm. He was a prominent member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Michigan avenue and Tenth street. Surviving are two sons, Henry Schwenk and August Schwenk, both of this city, and a sister. Mrs. Catherine Stelnbrenner. White Plains. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm. Friday at the Otto Redanz Funeral home. Michigan avenue and Tenth street, by Dr. Arthur H. Schmoyer, pastor of Zion church. Members of the Twentyfive club of the Aluminum company will act as bearers. Interment will be In the family plot in Oakwood cemetery.
