- Jimmy Bieliski, of Medina, went home to be with the Lord on Christmas morning, 2015. Jimmy was born in Medina, July 5, 1946, the son of Audrey (Baehr) Bieliski and the late Edward Vincent Bieliski. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1964, he married the former Donna D. Board on September 10, 1966. He was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, as a service man, for 32 years, retiring on his birthday in 2001.
Jimmy was an avid drag racer. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association Top Eliminator Club and for many years he raced at Lancaster Speedway, Cayuga Dragway and Niagara Dragway. He often traveled to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio and Laconia with his sons. He was a life member of H.O.G. and loved riding his Harley. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and maintaining the Bieliski Compound on North Gravel Road. Jimmy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, William (Jennifer) Bieliski and James Scott (Amanda) Bieliski; his "son", Jonathan (Jennifer) Higgins; 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Bieliski, Mackenzi Nudd, Elsa, Jimmy and Annabel Bieliski; a great grandson, Landon Rath; his mother, Audrey Bieliski; two sisters, Nancy (Duane) Pender and Margo (Frank) Sarchia; sister-in-law, Terry (Dennis) Phebus; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center St., Medina. His service will be held on New Year's Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31 at 11AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1212 West Avenue, Medina. The Rev. Peter A. Lindemann will officiate and interment will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.
