Notes - Walter S. Buchalski, age 91, of North Tonawanda, May 31, 2018 in Elderwood at Grand Island. Walter was the owner and operator of Walt’s Barber Shop in North Tonawanda, he had worked as a barber from 1948-2008. He was a WWII Marine Corp Veteran and was a member of the Marine Corps League, the American Legion Sikora Post and Portage Post, and the Amvets Post #26.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Sautkus) Buchalski. Beloved father of Martin (Robin) Buchalski. Grandfather of Lauren and Ian Buchalski. Brother of Henry (Carol) Buchalski and the late Stella Maurer, Felix, John, Matt, Leo, Chester, and Teddy Buchalski. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 4 - 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 A.M. from St. Jude the Apostle R. C. Church, interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
