Henry Buchalski. five-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Buchalski.
2453 Cudaback avenue, died at
4 p. m. yesterday in Memorial hospital
of Injuries sustained when he
was struck by an automobile driven
by Miss Phyllis Hansen. 1745 Whitney
avenue, yesterday noon. The
boy's skull was fractured and his left
thigh was broken.
The accident occurred in Twentyfourth
street near Cudafcack avenue.
Miss Hansen made a statement to
Coroner Harry R Emee In which she
said she was driving north In Twenty-
fourth street and as she ap-
proached the Cudaback avenue Intersection
she heard children in the
street scream. A second later she
heard a dull thud as if something
had struck the pavement near her
car. She stopped within fifteen feet
alighted from the car and found the
Buchalski child lying injured on the
pavement.-
The boy was carried into a nearby,
drug store and later was rushed
to the hospital. .
The coroner secured a statement
from an eye witness of the accident
In addition to the one taken from
Miss Hansen. The young woman,
who Is employed as a time keeper by
the Hooker Electro Chemcial company
was not held.
Funeral services for the boy will be
held at 7:45 o'clock tomorrow at the
home and at 8 o'clock at St. Stanislaus'
church. Twenty-fourth street
and Welch avenue. Burial will be in
Holy Trinity cemetery. The boy is
survived by his parents and six
brothers and sisters.
