Elsie, the 16-year-old daughter of
Patrolman and Mrs. Daniel Bonacker
of No. 430 -Sixth Street, was found
dead in bed last night at her home
shortly before 9 o'clock. On Thursday
she returned. from school and. complained
of pains in her head. Yesterday
Dr. Hough was called and admin-
istered to the young girl. It being
thought that she was threatened with
an attack of fever. Late yesterday
afternoon her father gave her a glass
of lemonade. At "the time she.was unable
to raise her head, it being necessary
to assist her. She appeared
drowsy and was taken to her bed. At
intervals her mother entered the bedroom
hut she appeared to he sleeping
and she was not disturbed.'.
Finally the family became alarmed
at her condition and shortly before 9
o'clock made an effort to awaken her.
but she was dead. Dr. Hough was
summoned but he was not at home
and Dr. Dorian was called. Dr. Dorian
stated that the girl had undoubtedly
been dead for two hours at the least.
Coroner Hnrt Slocum was called at
9:20 o'clock. This morning the coroner
stated that death resulted from
natural causes, undoubtedly from a
hemorrhage of the brain.
The deceased was well known in the
city and 'had a large circle of young
friends and the members.or the family
have the sympathy or" all in their
bereavement.
The funeral will be held at ."5 o'clock
tomorrow afternoon from the family
home. The Rev. A. S. Bacon will offi-
ciate and interment will be in
Oakwood cemetery.
