LOCKPORT. Dec. 30- An assistant
operator at the Lockport pumping
station for 15 years before he
retired in 1939. James S. Buchanan,
79,, brother of First Deputy County
Clerk Ross G. Buchanan, died to-
day at his home, 11 Cleveland place,
after a short illness.
Services will be held Monday at
10:30 a.m. at the Prudden funeral
home, 242 Genesee street. Burial
will be in Cold Springs cemetery.
Mr.. Buchanan, a native of this
city, was a son of the late Robert
and Margaret Silk Buchanan. He
served as foreman at the Trevor
Manufacturing company plant
where he worked as a machinist
for 40 years. He also had been em-
ployed by Ward Brothers,, a mill
supply concern.
Besides the brother, he leaves his
wife, Mrs.. Minnie Buchanan; a son,
Donald R., and a sister, Mrs. Joseph
Garuder, all of this city.
