Edward J. Schneider, 61, of 168
Burke Dr., Cleveland Hill, superintendent
of the Standard Mirror Co.,
141 Milton St., died yesterday at Sisters
Hospital after a two-week illness.
Mr. Schneider was born in Buffalo
and attended St. Boniface School.
During World War I he was a member
of a machtnegun company in the
61st Infantry which was attached to
the Fifth Division.
On two occasions be was cited for
gallantry in action, once in the St
Mihkl sector and again in the Argonne-
Meuse sector.
ID 1920 he began his association
| with the Standard Mirror Co. and
had been superintendent for many
years. He was a member of Troop
I Post, American Legion, and of St
Aloysius Gonzaga Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Blanche Buchanan; a daughter, Mrs.
Irene McGuire; a brother, John
Schneider, and two sisters, the Misses
Helen and Mae Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at
8.45 a. m. Tuesday at the funeral
home of Mrs. Joseph Lux & Sons,
2528 Main St, and a requiem mass
will be celebrated at 9.30 o'clock at
St Aloysius Gonzaga Church. Burial
will be in the United German and
French Roman Catholic Cemetery,
Pine Hill.
