  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/2/1913 John Buchhardt, 78 years old, died at bis home at No. 171 Sommer street yesterday. The deceased was born in Germany and came to this country 45 years ago, settling In North Tonawanda, where he had lived since. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Fred1 and George, and two daughters, Mrs. John Frank and Mrs. John Helm, all of North Tonawanda; one sister, Mrs. Fredericka Leverence of North Tonawanda and one brother, William Buchhardt of Saginaw, Mich.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Buchhard^ had been In the employ of the New" York Central Railroad for 42 years, retiring three ye a r s ago. If be had lived ontil May, Mr. Buchhardt would have celebrated his golden wedding anniversary.
