- Scholastica M. "Sally" off-
man,, 98,, of Niceville, FL and
formrly of Elk Towers,
passed away Thursday morn-
ing at the Twin City Hospital
in Niceville.
She was born October 23,
1902, in St Marys, daughter
of the late John and Frances
Meyer Bucheit. On June 27,
1927, in the St. Joseph's
Church, in Warren, she mar-
ried Benedict H. Hoffman,
who precded her in death on
February 11, 1987.
Mrs. Hoffman was a life-
long resident of the area and
attended St. Marys Parochial
schools and St.. Benedict's
Academy. She was a member
of the Sacred Heart Church,
and wa one of the first resi-
dents of Elk Towers. She was
also a member of the St.. Ann's
Society, Benedictine Obates
and the C.D. of A.
She is survived by two
daughters, Sister Jane Fran-
cis, O.S.B., of the St. Joseph's
Monastery, and Patricia
McDaniel of Nicevie, FL; a
son, Benedict M. Hoffman of
DeFuniak Springs, FL; five
grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.
In addition to her husband
and parents, she was preced-
ed in death by six sisters,
Clara Bucheit, Emma
Bucheit, Frances ronenwet-
ter, Josephine Dieteman, Eliz-
abeth Lorenz and Anna
Boschert; and by one brother,
John Bucheit. She was the
last member of her immediate
family
A Mass of Christian Burial
for Scholastica M. "Sally"
Hoffman will be celebrated in
the Sacred Heart Church on
Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial
will follow in the St. Marys
Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-
Radkowski Funeral Home on
Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A
Rosary will be recited at the
Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday evening. Memorial
contribution may be mad to
the Sacred Heart Church, 323
Center Street, St. Marys; or to
the St.. Joseph's Monastery,
303 Church Street, St. Marys.
