LeRoy "Bud" Walter Whipple Jr., age 81, of North Tonawanda, passed away on January 10, 2026, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of 60 years of the late Jennifer (nee Miller) Whipple.
Son of the late LeRoy "Bud" Whipple Sr. and the late Katherine (Degenhart) Whipple. Loving brother to Ronald (Marianne) Whipple, the late James (Marge) Whipple and the late sister Patricia Ann Illig. Brother-in-law of Michele Miller and the late Kevin Meyers. Loving father of Cheryl (Chris) Reinhardt, and Dawn (Paul) Chase. Very proud grandfather of Andrew Reinhardt, William (Casie) Kerns, Justin (Megan) Reinhardt and Joshua (Jennifer) Kerns. Proud great grandpa to Kaylie and Ryan Reinhardt. He was so proud of all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren's accomplishments . He is also survived by many nephews and cousins. LeRoy's family was his whole world. He cherished every moment with them.
LeRoy's love of fishing, the Buffalo Bills and auto racing brought so much joy to himself and others. He was a past member of LOTSA (Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association) and the Niagara River Anglers Association. He built, raced and painted many stock and modified cars in his younger years. At one point he led a special fishing trip for the handicapped with hockey legend Rick Martin. The stories and memories are endless and will be cherished by many. He touched so many lives and made many wonderful friends along the way. Former owner of Whipple's Collision and Paint for 30 + years, and operated Whipple's Bait and Tackle with his dad for many years. His family deeply appreciates your sincere condolences.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date this summer to celebrate the beautiful life of LeRoy and his cherished wife Jennifer.
