Vincent Scalzo, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of Frank (Betty Eakins) Scalzo of Niagara Falls and the late Barbara (Stahlman) (late Paul) Gosney.
Vince graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. On August 21, 1982, he married Maureen (McIntyre) Scalzo at Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church. Vincent was employed as a Welder Millwright of Goodyear Tire Company until his retirement in 2002, after 30 years of service.
Vincent was an automobile enthusiast and member of the Hudson Club and Buick Club. He also enjoyed car restoration and auto repair, but above all his motorcycle. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved to fish, hunt and golf.
In addition to his wife of 33 years, Mr. Scalzo is survived by his children Frank (Connie) Scalzo, Sarah (Travis Bannister) Scalzo; grandchildren Frankie, Jonathan and Anthony; sister Bonnie (Fred) Beightol; mother-in-law Violet (late Dudley) McIntyre; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert (Joanne) McIntyre, Larry McIntyre and Debbie (late Daniel) McIntyre, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, February 12th from 2 - 6 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 6 P.M. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice or to Niagara S.P.C.A.
