- Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of James and Dorothy (Langman) Warrant Sr. A resident of the Town of Niagara, he entered into rest on April 10, 2016 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 76 after a lengthy illness. James proudly served in the U.S. Navy, was a Boy Scout leader of pack 837 for 10 years, was employed as a station engineer at Spear Carbon Company, 17 years at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, and later retired from the Carborundum Company- Abrasives Division in 2001. Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria (Elmore) Warrant of 55 years; children, Maire (Albert) Smith, Malinda (Eric) Coleman, Malissa Beutel and Jeremy Warrant; a brother, Louis Castricone; sister, Mary Lou Castricone; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, and many cousins and friends. Also predeceased by a son, James (J.T.) Warrant; and a brother, Edward Warrant. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Wednesday (April 13) from 5-7 p.m. A private service will take place with the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
