He traveled all over the world during his enlistment with the U.S. Marines and always kept his family informed of his whereabouts, which was shared with the entire community by being reported in The Medina N.Y. Tribune.
Albert Buckner married Etta L. Phillips daughter of Ensign B. and Viola Wynkook Phillips of Ohio and they made their home in Detriot, Wayne County Michigan where Albert worked in the automotive industry at the Fisher Body Plant and later in life as a custodian at the Federal Building in Detriot. They had no children together, but he helped raise Etta's daughter Vivian Louise Collet from a very young age.
