NEWFANE - A life-long area
farmer, Burt R. Adair, 71, of
8403 Ridge Road, Town of Hart-
land, died at Inter • Community
Memorial Hospital Wednesday
(Sept. 2, 1964) following a long
illness. He had been a patient
at the hospital tor the past aix
weeks.
The World War I veteran, who
saw action in France, lived in
the Newfane area prior to mov-
ing to his present home 30 years
ago. He was born in Newfane
to Romanso and Clara Johnson
Adair. He was married to the
late Nora Seward.
Mr. Adair is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Thelma)
Budde of Gasport; two sisters,
Mrs. William (Ruth Mae) Cur-
ry of Gasport and Mrs. Linus
(Jessie) Chase of Lockport; one
grandchild; and several nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call at the Ken
neth H. Sherrie Funeral Home,
6139 East Ave., Newfane, begin-
ning at 7 p.m. today with the
family present until 9 p.m. and
tomorrow between 3 to 5 and
7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the
funeral home at 11 a.m. Satur-
day with the Rev. Arthur Wright
of the Hartland Methodist
Church officiating. Burial will
be in Wright's Corners Ceme
tery.
