She was 89. Daughter of the late Rudolph and Sophia Gevert Buddenhagen, she was born in Welcome Lake. She was the widow of Percy Dexter and Earl Marshall. She was a member of the Allen Memorial United Methodist Church in Athens. She was a former member of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church, was the first employee of Woodloch Pine Resort, and was a member of the Welcome Lake Ladies Aid. Survivors include a son, Maynard Dexter of Athens; a stepson, John Marshall of Honesdale; a brother, Donald Buddenhagen of Vestal; three sisters, Eleanor Mittawager of Callicoon, Irene Turner of Sussex, and Edith Newenhouse of Honesdale; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
