- Obituary for Bonnie Budnik
Bonnie Budnik (née Nobles), 71, of North Tonawanda, passed away on Monday August 5, 2024, at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on December 24, 1952, in Gowanda, NY, she later moved to North Tonawanda, where she graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Bryant and Stratton College. She became a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure in her family.
Bonnie dedicated over three decades of her life working at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Center, where her kind and caring nature left a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients.
She was a devoted, loving and kind-hearted individual who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Often putting others ahead of herself, she enjoyed spending time together with family and friends, as well as her beloved children and grandchildren. In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed walking, cycling, and traveling, often accompanied by her husband, Raymond. She was also deeply involved in gardening; splitting her time between her own garden as well as the Imagine Community Garden of North Tonawanda.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Raymond Budnik; sons, Bryan (Cori) Budnik and Richard (Amanda) Budnik; grandchildren, London (Benjamin) Streebel, Brenden Budnik, Cailin Budnik; and siblings, Ronald (Patricia) Nobles, Colleen Nobles, and Janet (Robert) Beach. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorenzo "Larry" Nobles and Jane (Michael) Delaney; and parents Austin and Marion (Stearns) Nobles. Family and friends may call Monday, August 12th from 4 pm - 8 pm at the Wattengel Funeral Home, located at 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Tuesday, August 13th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or Niagara Hospice, in Bonnie's name. Bonnie will be deeply missed by all she touched and forever remembered for her generous spirit and loving heart.
