- Theresa K. (Martin) McDaniel, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. She was 55. She was born in Niagara Falls on March 6, 1961, a daughter of Alan and Thelma (Wilson-Shapiro) Martin. She attended local schools and then became a homemaker who took pride in raising her family.
Theresa enjoyed cooking and movies but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Theresa is survived by her two children: Marykay (William) Martin-Jenkins and Brian (Brittney) McDaniel and 7 grandchildren: Hope, Faith, Lilly, Abigail, Brielle, Baylea and Brody. She is also survived by her step-mother Carol Martin and 5 siblings: Lori Shapiro, Robert (Judy) Shapiro, Tammy (Leonard) Steves, Dawn (Scott) Russell and Florn Martin. She was predeceased by her step-father Robert Shapiro in 2015.
There will be no prior visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later time to be announced. Arrangements made by the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
