Fred W. Armhruster, East Side
grocer for 58 years, died early yes-
terday (Jan. 27, 1935) at his home.
4456 St. Paul Boulevard, after a
short Illness. Born In Rochester,
Feb. 24, 1858, he attended St. Jo-
seph's school and has been a life
long member of St. Joseph's
Church.
In 1877, at the age of 19 years,
he opened a grocery store at Sein
and Weld streets which he had op-
erated continuously to the prev-
ent.
Mr. Armbruster was married to
Amelia E. Buelte in 1883. Besides
his widow, he is survived by four
children, Mrs. Edward H. Feisln-
ger of Syracuse, Mrs. Charles R.
Chase of Hornell, Amelia C. and
Fred W. Armbruster Jr. of Roch-
ester, five grandchildren, three sis-
ters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock
in the home and at 10 o'clock in
St. Joseph's Church. Burial will
be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery
