- Maurice Bugbee Washburn 76. Died at a Presque Isle hospital 8-28-1990. He was born in Washburn 9-26-1913 the son of Harry and Caroline (Hunter) Bugbee. He was a lifelong resident of Washburn. He was a woods contractor for International Paper Co. for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1981. Previous to that he was a potato farmer and general contractor. He was a member of the State Rd. Advent Christian Church for 36 years and had served as a usher, deacon and trustee. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Esther (Page) Bugbee of Washburn, 2 sons, Harry and Charles, both of Mapleton, 1 daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Ardis) Humphrey of Washburn, 2 sisters, Florence Bugbee of Washburn and Mrs. Harrison (Jean) Page of Ashland, 1 brother, Harold Bugbee of Washburn, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Behdegkey in Oct. 1981 and a sister, Mrs. Warren (Doris) Rundstrom in October 1984. Burial Crouseville cemetery.
