  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 11/24/1979 BUIKE - Effie L. Buike (nee Carr), 88, of North Tonawanda, Friday (Nov. 23, 1979) in the DeGraff Memorial Hospital after brief illness. Mrs. Buike was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and* the Ladies Guild. Wife of the late Frank H. Buike, who died in1962. Surviving are her son, Robert F. (Barbara) Buike, North Tonawanda; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Carr, Tonawanda, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Road, Saturday from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at time of service. The Rev. Mark Woodward will officiate. Interment in ElmlawnCemetery.
