- Margaret E. “Mickey” (nee Hunter) Clive, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born on March 30, 1926 in Wilson, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Clara (Strablo) Hunter. On May 28, 1949, she married Cyril R. Clive.
Mrs. Clive was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Mickey, as she was known by family and friends, was employed by the City of Niagara Falls as a crossing guard and later worked in the Public Works Department. She retired in 1985.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 67 years, Mrs. Clive is survived by four children, Linda (Dan) Meacham, Darlene Basile, Robert (Lorrie) Clive and Kathy (Bill) Visser; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Eleanor Curry, Virginia Bathurts and June Morsano and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mickey was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Clive.
In honor of Mickey’s wishes, funeral services and interment will be held privately with her family. Interment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
