- Angelo F. Conde, 91 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 12, 2017 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Thomas and Rose (Trapasso) Conde, Sr.
Angelo was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. A proud veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Angelo worked as a skilled welder at Dobbie Foundry and Machine Company in Niagara Falls. He was also a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and worked as a projectionist for 56 years at various local movie theatres. In his leisure time, Angelo enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards with his family. Above all, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Angelo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sarah M. (Tavano) Conde on June 7, 1990. He is survived by two daughters, Jean (Rick) MacKendrick and Angela (Randy) Burns, three grandchildren, Scott MacKendrick, Christopher (Jennifer) MacKendrick and Sarah MacKendrick, two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Ethan MacKendrick, one sister, Rose Marie (Edwin) McNiff, one brother, Rudolph (late Joan) Conde and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank (Marie) Conde, Thomas (Rose) Conde, Jr. and one sister, Teresa (Harry) Hardenstine.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday February 15th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church 1055 North Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Community Action Program 1521 Main Street Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
