David W. Cuddy, of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024 after a brief illness. He was 73. He was born in Niagara Falls on April 22, 1951, and was a son of the late Leo and Aileen (Palm) Cuddy.
He graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and then attended Syracuse University on a track scholarship.
Dave was a skilled welder working across the country and then worked as a chemical operator at Van De Mark Chemical in Lockport until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, bowler and loved his Cleveland Indians and Buffalo Bills. Dave was a beloved Papa and enjoyed spending his time with grandkids and family.
Dave is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Debra Manera; three children: David (Geri) Cuddy, Michelle Cuddy and Danielle Cuddy; three siblings: Brian Cuddy, Colin (Melinda) Cuddy and Michael (Sarah) Cuddy. Dave was a loving Papa to seven grandchildren: Cameron, Allegra, Christopher, Shafer, Julian, Oliver and Jaxson. He is also survived by three nieces: Lara (Todd) Cuddy, Kimberly (Mark) Cuddy and Lisa Cuddy Stevens, and nephew Timothy (Kathy) Cuddy. He is preceded in death by his brother Frank.
Services for Dave will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Visitation will be 2-5pm with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be alongside his parents on Wednesday, December 4th in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston. Please join us to honor his life.
