Nancy Lorraine (Wilson) Mettler, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. She was 89. She was born in Niagara Falls on January 3, 1933, a daughter of Robert O. and Pearl E. Wilson.
She attended local schools and on June 24, 1950 she married Clifford E. Mettler and they began to raise their family. They remained happily married for 56 years until Clifford’s passing in 2006.
Nancy was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid baker and her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mettler is survived by 5 children: Shirley (Joseph) Loss, Robin (John) Crossley, Robert (Irene Chandler) Mettler, James (Andrea Zilm) Mettler and Judy (Joseph) Cipolla. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: John Walasek, David Loss, Robert, Michael and Christopher Mettler, John and Rich Crossley, Alicia Pate, Matthew and Tyler Mettler, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and burial will be alongside her husband in Niagara Falls Memorial Park in Lewiston.
