- Anthony ‘Tony’ Colosi, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 14, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Mario ‘Lefty’ and Mary (Scarfone) Colosi.
Tony was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 – 1972 and then in the Army Reserves from 1972-1975. On July 4, 1981 he married René (Ladouceur) Colosi in Niagara Falls, NY. Tony was a member of the Lathers Local 51 from 1967-1978 where he was president of the local in the 1970’s. Later, he became a member of the Carpenters Local 289 in Lockport, NY from 1978 until March 2008. He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 844 during the 1970’s and 1980’s. For a number of years Tony and his wife René were especially fulfilled by their work in a number of children charities. Tony was very versed in WNY History and enjoyed telling anyone who would listen about it. He would love to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle around the region for hours.
The much beloved husband of René, Tony, is also survived by his children, Jennifer Colosi and Nico (Anthony Dalton) Colosi and his granddaughter, London as well as several nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.
There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Mooseheart Boosters or Mooseheart Child City & School charities at https://www.moosecharities.org/ways-to-give/. Tony is best remembered with an easy smile on his face. He liked nothing better than to put smiles on everyone else's face as well, usually with a playful pun or a dad joke. So as you remember Tony today, remember him with a smile and not tears: What did the grape say when he got stepped on? Nothing, he let out a little whine.
