Roberta J. Pafk, age 84, of Akron, New York, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at her residence. Born in Rushford, New York on February 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Mae (Weaver) Sanders. Roberta attended school in Allentown and Short Track, New York. Mrs. Pafk worked for Kreher's Poultry Farms in Clarence, New York, on the packing line retiring after 40 years of employment. She then went onto work at the Akron Central School in the custodial department for several years, and also enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Roberta was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, NY, where she served on the Ladies Aid committee. Mrs. Pafk enjoyed being a member of the Wolcottsville Senior Citizens and the Leisure Timers Senior Citizens of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation, Inc. She also was an avid gardener and especially proud of her flower beds. Roberta was the dear wife of the late Glenn H. Pafk, who passed away on June 7, 2009. Loving mother of Marvin (Bonnie) Pafk of Akron, Douglas (Marge) Pafk of Williamsville, Peggy (Thomas) Glasser of Pittsburgh PA, Dale (Mae) Pafk of Hawaii, and the late Wayne Pafk, mother in law of Alta Pafk of Texas; cherished grandmother of thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; sister of Thera Horzempa of Elba, Arlin Sanders of Medina, Roger (Charlotte) Sanders of Medina, Ronald (Carol) Sanders of Medina, Gerald Sanders of Batavia, Linda Ashton of Albion and the late Roy, Jenny and Gary; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 6379 Wolcottsville Road, Akron. Rev. Bruce Donley pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Mt.
