- Robert E. Forster, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Archibold and Marjorie (Fitzgerald) Forster; and the beloved husband of Priscilla (Daniels) Forster, who he married on March 3, 1962 in St. Joseph Church.
In 1956, Bob enlisted into the United States Air Force and proudly served as an Airman until his honorable discharge on December 8, 1960. He was employed at Tops Friendly Markets in the meat department for over 30 years prior to his retirement.
Mr. Forster was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a passionate fan of the New York Mets and Green Bay Packers. Above all, Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Robert is survived by his children, Loretta (Donald) Herbst, Phyllis (fiancé Brian Campbell) Dussler, Barbara (Peter) Bulka, Theresa (Lazaro) Balseiro and Mary Forster (Susan Nixon); sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two siblings, Penny (Joseph) Occhipinti and Jay (Debra) Forster, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 13 from 10 – 12 Noon at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by Robert’s Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 P.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY concluding with Military Honors. Interment will be held private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14904.
