- Madeline Mattuccilli, 98, entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2017. For the past two years, Madeline resided at Schoellkopf Health Center, where she passed away under the care of hospice.
Madeline was born in Buffalo, NY. On October 5th, 1940, she married Paul A. Mattuccilli. In 1974, after 34 years of marriage, Mr. Mattuccilli predeceased her. Madeline worked for the Carborundum Company at the Wheatfield Plant, where she retired from in 1983, after 35 years of employment. She was a long-time working member of the Lady of Fatima Shrine, the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge. She loved gardening and was an avid walker. Madeline was known as Gram by her loving family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her for her loving, caring and giving ways.
Mrs. Mattuccilli is survived by two children, Paul Mattuccilli II, and Marie Bax both of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren, Paul Mattuccilli III, Kira (Robert) Burke, and Vicki Lynn (Tim) Bower; five great-grandchildren, Krystal and Nicholas Burke, Paul Mattuccilli IV, Ryan and Alyssa Bower; sister-in-law Lillian (late Sam) Tamburrino, many nieces, nephews and dear friend and caregiver Patty (Lala) Hoover.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 9 – 11 A.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or Schoellkopf Health Center, 621 10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302.
