- Jane E. Smith, of Newfane, passed away May 30, 2021 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born October 15, 1948 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Robert D. and Elizabeth A. (McCrory) Hopfer, Sr.
She was a graduate from Niagara-Wheatfield High School Class of 1966. Jane worked for Verizon where she was a representative in the business office. She was an active member of Pendleton Center United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.
Jane is survived by her husband, Jack A. Smith; sons, Jeffrey (Mary Beth) Smith and Jason Smith; granddaughter, Alyssa Smith; sister, Patricia Miles; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Siegel; and brothers, Robert Jr. and Daniel Hopfer.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, June 19th at 11 AM in Pendleton Center United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
