- Doreen Pressley Melton, of Spring Hill, Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, went home to Jesus on January 15, 2022 at home, surrounded by family.
Doreen was born in Tonawanda, NY, to Elmer and Louella (Trudeau) Pressley and raised in Western New York.
She was married for 60 years to the love of her life, Barry, after meeting on a blind date. Truth be told, Barry had seen her across the school library and thought she was as beautiful as Elizabeth Taylor. They married in 1962 and went on to have four children.
Doreen was predeceased by son, Greg Melton; sister, Elaine Beecher; sister, Beverly; brother, Joseph; as well as parents, Elmer and Louella Pressley; and stepmother, June Pressley. She is survived by her husband, Barry; children, Renee (Ken) Baumgardner, Randy Melton, Michelle (Todd) Daniels; brother, Rick (Marie) Pressley; sister, Betty Shields (Al Sharp); grandchildren, Tyler Larratta, Auston Larratta, Nicole Melton, Jacquie Kinton, Katie Washy, and Megan Melton; great-grandchildren, CJ and Austin Kinton, and Mia Washy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
