- The marriage of Gloria Virginia Garlock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Garlock of Sanborn to Leroy William Nightingale of North Tonawanda was solemnized at the First M. E, church in North Tonawanda, Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by the pastor Rev. W. A. Stackhouse. The church was attractively decorated with golden rod. Queen Anne's lace and palms.
The bride who was given In marriage by her father was lovely In a gown of rosewood lace with matching slippers and picture hat. She carried a shower bouquet of Johanna Hill roses and gypsophlla. Miss Irma Nightingale sister of the bridegroom, was the bride's only attendant. She was gowned in pale green lace with hat to match and wore white hose and slippers. She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses and gypsophlla. John Nightingale was his brother's best man. The bride's mother wore tan georgete with lace and a corsage of pink roses. The groom's mother was dressed in black geargette, also wearing a corsage of pink roses. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held to 40 guests at the home of the bride's parents. The house was decorated with a profusion of garden flowers. Covers were laid for 14 at the bride's table which was centered with a bowl of yellow roses and gypsophlla. The bride's gift to her attendant was a finger ring and the groom gave his best man a leather bill fold. The grooms gift to the bride was a platinum wrist watch and the bride's gift to the groom was a yellow bold watch chain. Upon their return from a western trip they will be at home at 240 Robinson street, North Tonawanda. Guests were present from Lockport, Batavia, Jamestown, North Thiel; Tonawanda and Rochester
