- Phillip W. Banker, III of Niagara Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at home. He was 83 years old. He was born in Kingston, PA on August 8, 1938, a son of the late Phillip W. Banker II and Jewel Carmen (Crosswell) Banker. He attended local schools, graduating from the former Trott Vocational High School.
Phillip was employed by General Motors, Tonawanda Forge as a machine operator. He retired in 1991 after 31 years. He was an avid bowler. He was very proud of bowling a 300 and the beautiful ring he was given by the bowling league. He loved every aspect of baseball and was a loyal fan and supporter of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a long time member of the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club and served as director for the junior members for several years. He was an avid gardener, growing beautiful roses and many vegetables.
He was a long time member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Predeceased by his wife, Donna Lee (Meyers) Banker on March 8, 2018 and his parents, he is survived by two adoring daughters, Deborah Ann (Edward) Wisniewski and Sherry Lyn (Allen) Kellinsky; grandchildren, Nicholas; Brandi; Kara; Melissa;; Lauren and Victoria; great grandchildren, Jade; Danica; Charity; Noah; Luke and Selah.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4-6 in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where a video and words of remembrance with will conducted by the family. The interment will be private.
