- Mary Christine Carlo, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2018. She was born in Niagara Falls on May 31, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Julia (Santoro) Carlo. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and then worked as a secretary for the NYS Parks Department for many years.
Mary was very active with her church and enjoyed her time with her family.
She is survived by her sister Pauline Pearson and her sister-in-law Betty (late Pete) Carlo and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 11 siblings: Sam (late Florence) Carlo, Carmela (late John) Johnson, Antonia Ditto, Dominic (late Edna) Carlo, Orlando Carlo, Ubaldo (late Josephine) Carlo, Olympio Carlo, Pio Carlo, Christine Carlo, Anna (late Fred) Moody and Pete (Betty) Carlo.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston.
