Josephine Liuzzi
of Barker, NY wife of the late Matthew P. Liuzzi entered into rest on Thursday April 26, 2018 at the Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Buffalo, NY on June 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Dominic and Phyllis D'auria Calandra. Josephine was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish (St. Patrick's) in Barker, NY. To her "family was everything". She enjoyed hosting, cooking and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mother of Raffaela (Ronald) Clemens, Salvatore (the late Kathy) Liuzzi, Phyllis (Steven) Walker and Donna (Dennis) Weeks. Sister of Angeline (Pasquale) Morrone and the late Santina Scortino, Thomas Calandra, Sarah Torre, Grace Sebastian and Mario Calandra. Grandmother of Mary Jo Clemens-Harris, Salvatore Liuzzi, George Enzinna, Joseph Walker, Jennifer Mozg, Dustin Weeks and Deanna Carnes. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 1 due on July 5, 2018. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on TUESDAY May 1, 2018 from 2 - 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Parish (St. Patrick's) 1726 Quaker Rd. Barker, NY on WEDNESDAY May 2, 2018 at 11AM. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's, www.stjude.org or Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
