NIAGARA FALLS -
Shirley S. (Serrianne) Quigliano, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bernice (Fanclow) Serrianne.
Shirley attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1955. On April 14, 1956, she married Lawrence J. Quigliano, Sr. at the former Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. From 1955 until 1965 Shirley was employed as a laboratory technician at Hooker Chemical Company and later worked for the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a school aide at Harry F. Abate Elementary School for ten years until retiring in 2010. Shirley was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society Womens Auxiliary in Niagara Falls, NY. Her favorite pastime was making ceramic items.

In addition to her husband of fifty seven years, Shirley is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Quigliano (Laura Kosut) of Niagara Falls, NY and Lawrence J. (Joelyn) Quigliano II of Wheatfield, NY; six grandchildren, Christina Quigliano, Joseph Quigliano, Vincent Quigliano, Gianna Quigliano, Dom Kosut and D.J. Kosut; three siblings, Richard (Karen) Colton, Donna (late Joseph) Nasca and Anthony (Joann) Serrianne, all of Niagara Falls, NY. She was the sister-in-law of Annette (late Mil) McCormick, Lena (late Claude) Morningstar, Mary (late Bill) Kubas, Carrie (late Dick) Gibbons, Alice (late Dom) Elia, Delores (Guido) Mistriner. Shirley was predeceased by one brother, Gary Serrianne; two sisters-in-law, Ann (late Leo) Cicero, and Josephine (late Ed) Zahno; and two brothers-in-law, Frank (late Angie) Quigliano and Salvatore (late Jean) Quigliano. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday, December 30th at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston NY 14092 or to St. Jude Shrine, 975 Ridge Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
