- Ronald J. “Ron” Licht, Sr., 65, of Niagara Falls, NY entered into rest suddenly at home on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Ruben “Mike” and Catherine (Strasser) Licht.
Ron lived in the area all of his life and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. He worked as a pipe fitter for twenty plus years at Union Carbide of Niagara Falls and retired in 1993. He was also a member of the O.C.A.W. Pipe Fitters Union. Ron was an avid sportsman and was a past member of LaSalle Sportsman Club where he served on the Board of Directors. He was an avid Hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees. Ron also coached for the Hyde Park Little League Baseball and served on their Board of Directors as well.
Ron is survived by his two sons, Ronald “Ron” (Donna) Licht, Jr. and Ryan (Jennifer) Licht; grandchildren, Kyle, Madison, Darin, Ahsley and Delaney; siblings, Linda (Bob) Woodring, Peggy (William) Williamson, Sharon (late Bill) Rybarczyk and Patrick (Cathie) Licht; sister-in-law, Janet Morrow; mother of his children, Cynthia Corsaro and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Monday, October 8th from 3 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. Please visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
