Sharon's Obituary
Sharon Rybarczyk, the Heartbeat of Every Celebration, Passes Away at 77 on August 28, 2024.
The world is a little less sweet, as we say goodbye to Sharon Rybarczyk, who left us on August 28, 2024 at the age of 77. Sharon was the heart of her family, the spark behind every joyful moment, and the warmth that filled every room she entered.
To know Sharon was to know love in its most delicious form. She was a master of the kitchen, where she baked cakes that weren’t just desserts but were memories in the making. Every family party was adorned with her creations, each one crafted with a secret ingredient—her unwavering love. Whether it was a towering birthday cake or just simple cupcakes, Sharon’s baking brought people together, sparking laughter, conversation, and the kind of moments that linger in your heart long after the last crumb is gone.
But Sharon’s talents didn’t stop at the oven. She had a magical way of turning Christmas into a festival of warmth, joy, and togetherness. Her Christmas parties were legendary, the kind of gatherings that people talked about for years. Her home would twinkle with lights, with Christmas scents dancing through the air, as she welcomed family and friends with open arms and a heart full of holiday spirit. These were the times when Sharon’s love for others shone the brightest, and her family felt wrapped in a blanket of her unwavering care.
Movies were another of Sharon’s loves, and she could often be found escaping into the stories of the silver screen with her nieces and nephews, and her daughter, Stacey where they shared popcorn, laughed and cried, making everlasting memories. But perhaps her favorite stories were the ones she lived out during her “ladies days” at the casino with her sisters. These outings were filled with laughter, mischief, and a little bit of luck—though Sharon always believed that the real jackpot was the time spent with her sisters, building bonds that were stronger than any other.
Sharon wasn’t just a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma—she was everyone’s second mom. Her home was a sanctuary where you could always find a listening ear, a warm hug, and something sweet to eat. She had a gift for making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world, whether they were family by blood or by heart.
Her passing leaves a hole in the lives of all who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the traditions she started, the love she gave, and the countless lives she touched. Sharon is predeceased by her devoted husband, William, her brothers, Mike and Ronnie Licht, her brother-in-law Billy Williamson, and her Parents, Ruben and Catherine Licht. She is survived by her loving daughter Stacey Rybarczyk (Matthew Hake), her sisters, Linda Woodring (Bob) and Peggy Williamson, her brother, Pat Licht (Cathie) and her adored grandchildren Miranda and Hayley Tubinis, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever carry her in their hearts.
A private celebration of Sharon’s life will take place at the family’s discretion, where they can share stories, and honor the woman who made the world a little brighter, one cake, one Christmas, and one memory at a time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you bake something sweet, watch a favorite movie, or spend time with your loved ones in Sharon’s honor—because that’s what she would have wanted most.
