- Concetta R. Paolone, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Rocco and Catherine (Mariano) Migliazzo.
Concetta grew up on 12th Street in Niagara Falls where she raised her family and then moved to Lewiston.
She was employed at Memorial Medical Center, Lincoln's Department Store and with the NIOGA Library System for 26 years before retiring in 1991.
A special time of her life was when she traveled to Italy to visit with extended family in 2002. She had fond memories of this time
Concetta was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for 10 years and volunteered at the John Duke Center for 25 years, was an election inspector and had received the Iney Wallens Good Neighorbood Award. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Societa' Femminile Cristoforo Columbo, the Madonna Del Soccorso Societa, the Lewiston Seniors, Ladies of the Mist, the Socialites and Parents Without Partners.
Concetta loved spending time with and taking care of her family.
She was the wife of the late Dominick Paolone, who passed away in November of 1962.
Concetta is survived by her three daughters, Patricia A. (John) Atashian, Rosemary A. (Dr. James) Cumella and Loretta "Lorie" (Paul Traverse) Tedesco, two grandchildren Justin (Mia) Tedesco and Krista (Jeffrey) Gruarin and "Gigi" to Enzo, Luna and Gino Tedesco and Nolan Gruarin, she is also survived by four brothers, Thomas, Anthony (Patricia), Rocco (Lourdes), Salvatore (Elaine) Migliazzo and a sister Eleanor (Samuel) Novara. She was the beloved aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Her family will be present on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph Parish, St. Joseph Church site, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating.
Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
