- DOUGLAS' OBITUARY
Douglas James Linderman, of Lockport NY, passed away on July 8, 2022.
He was born on June 24, 1949 in Newfane NY, to Violet and John Linderman. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan, his daughter Jessica/Sid (Bobby) Zehler and his son Jason Douglas (Kiera). Three grandsons Alex, Charlie and Nick and his granddaughter Baby Zehler, due in December. He is also survived by his sister Pat Hesch, the Day family, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephews and great-great nieces. Additionally survived by his cousins, mother-in-law Grace Banks, and many sisters- and brothers-in-law and neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents, son Geoffrey James, brother Jack, nephew David Hesch, brother-in-law Dick Hesch and father-in-law Adrian Banks. Douglas graduated from Newfane High School and Buffalo State College. He had many good friends, including from his 30 years employed by Niagara County in the Employment and Training Dept. Additionally he taught IT and Quickbook classes. Douglas's favorite pasttime, besides being with his family, traveling, music, and sports, was riding his Harley. He volunteered for many years at the Allegany County Celtic Festival. There will be a Celebration of Life in the near future at the discretion of the family. Douglas will be missed by all who knew him. Donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Mount St Mary's Hospital in Lewiston or Select Specialty Hospital (West 11th St) in Erie PA.
