- Obituary of Donna M.(Taczak) Pettitt
Donna M. (Taczak) Pettitt, 58, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 17, 1961 she was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Ellen M. (Lysaght) Taczak.
Donna graduated from D'Youville College receiving a Bachelor's Degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Buffalo General Hospital and has been a registered nurse for 30+ years.
She is survived by her son, Derick Pettitt; sisters, Lori (James) Comnack and Michelle Hearn and brother, Robert (Mary Louise) Taczak; nephews, James, Peter, Morgan, Jimmy and Nick.
Donna's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alfaro, the staff at Roswell Park and to her friends Sue, Charlie, Janelle, Eric, Jen, Jeremy, Tim, Dot, Roy, Val, Paula and Kathy, to name a few. All whom helped and cared for Donna, during her courageous battle with Leukemia.
Friends may call Friday, October 18th from 4-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral Services & burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19th at Holy Trinity Cemetery, 5401 Roberts Avenue, Lewiston, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CEMETERY. In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY, 14263.
