- SPRENGER - Louis Jr. “Louie”
Age 76, of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, November 18, 2019. Father of Kelly (James) Orsund and Brett (Heather) Sprenger; grandfather of Brett, Paris, Tristan and Sophie; son of the late Louis Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Mislin) Sprenger; brother of William (Mary Ann) Sprenger and the late Dorothy Tooke and Richard Braeges; and his faithful companions, Cane, Abel and Montana; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Louie was a 1961 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a member of the Third Warders Club, Renaissance Club, Tonawanda Aquatic Center and Ashland Oil Retirees Club. Louie played baseball and softball in the Twin Cities for many years, coached Womens and Girls Travel Softball for 31 years, was a Hitting Instructor for Boys Little League Baseball and Girls Softball for over 15 years. He enjoyed playing poker with the boys, avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, and Sabres season ticket holder for many years. Louie worked at the Erie County Fair in the 1960’s with the Buffalo Turners, putting on a Clown Diving demonstration. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 2-5 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), in Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 5 PM Sunday following the calling hours. Everyone welcome.
