Linda E. Proefrock, age 74, of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda loved embroidery and sewing. She was always making crafts and gave away many of her creations as gifts to friends, family, and her doctors and nurses. She had many pet cats over the years and loved them all. She especially found joy spending time with her grandkids and loved them dearly.
She was born in North Tonawanda on June 17, 1949 to the late Melvin and Elizabeth Meyers. Survived by her loving husband Dennis J. Proefrock, with whom she had a 33 year relationship.
Loving mother to David (Wendy) Werth, Marc (Becky) Werth, and Jason (Angie) Proefrock. Beloved grandmother of Whitney (Chris) Dunbar, David Werth (Evie Speedy), Sheridan Werth , Dylan Werth, and Aiden Crummie. Predeceased by her sister Kathy Habuda. Survived by her siblings Karen Rees, Patty Rees, Melvin Meyers, and Marvin Meyers. Dearest sister-in-law of Carol (Kevin) Siverson. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her loving cats Nikki and Alex.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Fretthold Funeral Home, located at 1241 Oliver Street in North Tonawanda on Friday, August 25th, from 4pm - 8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 8pm. Private interment at Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in Linda's honor to Niagara Hospice.
