RANSOMVILLE. N. Y., Nov. 6.-
Herman F. Wrege. 79, Dickersonville
road, town of Lewiston, well
known farmer, died yesterday at
Mt. St. Mary's hospital. Niagara
Falls, N. Y., after a long illness. Funeral
services will be held at the
family home Wednesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Arthur H.
Smoyer, of Niagara Falls. N. Y., will
officiate. Interment will be in North
Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Wrege was born in Germany
but came to this country when a
youth of 18 years. He settled in this
community and had resided here
ever since. He was a successful farm-
er and active in several farm organ-
izations. His wife, Mrs. Louise Wrege
died several years ago.
Mr. Wrege is survived by two
sisters, Mrs. Fred Lindhurst and Mrs.
William Geisler, both of this village,
and one grandson, Leiutenant Har-
old Lindhurst, with the U.S. army
Air Forces overseas and now believed
to be a prisoner of war in Germany.
