  Niagara Falls Gazette Fred Poeller, Veteran Area Farmer Dies BARKER - A native of Germany who had been a farmer in the towns of Somerset and Newfane through out his adult life, Fred W. Poeller 89, died today (March 1, 1958 at the home of his son; John F. Poeller, in Lake Rd. Born Aug. 3, 1868, Mr. Poeller came from Germany with his parents, John and Christine Poeller, at the age of 16. They settled in the Town of Somerset. Survivors include, besides the son, two daughters. Mrs. Ernest Schultz and Mrs. Freda Newman, both of Newfane, and six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Lake Rd. residence afternoon Sunday. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Tuesday and in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. August Kreutz officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery. The Corwin Funeral Home in Newfane is handling the arrangements.
