- Walter John Parfinski

FacebookTwitterredditIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Walter J. Parfinski, born July 6, 1936, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. He was the son of late Walter and Rachel (Andalora) Parfinski.
John worked as an iron worker with Local #9 in Niagara Falls all of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to tell stories about his days spearing sturgeon in the lower river. He was a member of the Active Hose Fire Company, a member of the Suburban Gun Club, and 3F Club. He served is the United States Army from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of 38 years; and is also survived by one son, Walter (Jody) Parfinski; step-children, Karen (late Robert) Rachlin and Robert (Linda) Monticup; four wonderful grandchildren, Sydney and Benjamin Rachlin and Paige and Lydia Parfinski. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia (late Gary) Quandt, Barbara Joyce Kalafat, Thelma McPherson, Gary Parfinski, Craig (Louise) Parfinski, and Gregory (Joni) Alan; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beautiful grand-doggy, Austin, that he loved tremendously.
He was predeceased by his parents; and one sister, Jeanne (John) McCoy.
He has donated his body to the University at Buffalo. Private services at the convenience of the family.
