- Roger D. Miller, of Lockport, NY, departed from this world to Heaven on Wednesday, October 22, 2020 at Niagara Hospice after a long battle with lung cancer. Roger married Joyce Miller on April 15, 1967, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2020. He was born in Newfane, NY, on July 19, 1944, the son of the late Harold and Winnifred Miller.
Roger is a beloved child of God and was a member of Grace Bible Church in Newfane for five decades. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a machinist from 1962 to 1965. Above all else, Roger loved spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting and camping. He also loved bowling and motorcycles.
Father of Dennis L. Miller, Dinnese (Rob) Berner and Christopher (Debra) Miller; grandfather of Joshua (Meghan) Berner, Bradley Berner, Christopher (Kayleigh) Miller, Riki (Joe) Lake, Adam Hilliard and Kodi Miller; great-grandfather of Arianna Lake, Lakota Lake and Desmond Hilliard.
A Memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Church, located at 6023 Dutton Place, Newfane, NY, on October 31 at 11 AM followed by a burial with Military Honors at Corwin Cemetery.
