- Edward Duwayne Baker passed away after a lengthy illness on November 2nd 2020. He was a resident at the Newfane Rehabilitation & Nursing home in Newfane, N.Y. Ed was born on May 30th 1941 in Monarch, Pennsylvania to parents, Helen (Adams) and John Baker on May 30th 1941. After attending local schools, Ed enlisted and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Ed attended Niagara Falls High School and Trott in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Ed enjoyed golfing with his brothers, bowling with friends, riding his Gold Wing motorcycle and watching the Buffalo Bills. Over the years, Ed enjoyed organizing many golf & bowling leagues. Ed retired in 2001 from Harrison Radiator as a Millwright. After his retirement, Ed was employed at Ridge Road Express as a school bus driver.
Ed was survived by his loving wife, Sharon Baker. He was also survived by his son, Shawn E. Baker (Amy), Howard B. Broussard (Hillie) and David K. Broussard and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ed was survived by brothers Ray, Keith, Bobby, and 1 sister, Kay. He was pre-deceased by a brother Jack and grandson, David. Ed decided many years ago to donate his body to the UB School of Medicine.
