ROEMER - Linda E. (nee Bradshaw)Of Lewiston, NY. August 29, 2008. Age 66. Mother of Michael (Jean) Roemer, L.T.C. Patrick (Cindi) Roemer, Elizabeth, Meghan, Mary Kate, Bridget, and the late Judith Roemer; sister of Thomas (Cheryl) Bradshaw, Sarah (late Steve) Thompson, Lisa Bradshaw, the late Milton (Mildred) Bradshaw, and Judith (the late Robert) Philbrick; also survived by six grandchildren and four step grandchildren; wife of the late Walter Roemer. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME INC., North Forth and Ridge Sts., Lewiston, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday September 3, at 10:30 AM, from St. Peters RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lewiston Fire Company #1 Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box #748, Lewiston, NY 14092.

Lewiston - Linda E. Roemer, age 66, of Lewiston, NY, went to her heavenly home on August 29, 2008 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a long illness. Linda was born October 13, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Milton and Elizabeth (Schneider) Bradshaw.She attended the Lewiston Red Brick School, St. Peter's RC School, and graduated from Stella Niagara High School in 1959. She married Walter E. Roemer on December 26, 1959 at St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston. Walter predeceased her in 2006. At various times, Linda worked in her family's business, Schneider's Restaurant, in Lewiston. She also worked at McDonald's in Lewiston, and for 20 years, was employed by the New York State Parks, retiring in 2000. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially summer vacations at Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. She also enjoyed playing bingo and watching sports (the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres), classic movies and Jeopardy.Linda is survived by two sons, Michael (Jean) Roemer of Youngstown and LTC Patrick (Cyndi) Roemer, NYANG of Lewiston; four daughters, Elizabeth Roemer of Irondequoit, Megan Roemer of Lewiston, Mary Kate Roemer and Bridget Roemer, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Shannon, Kristen, and Amy Roemer, and Marlene Smith; four step-grandchildren, Jay, Justin, Jordan and Jenna VanDusen; one brother, Thomas (Cheryl) Bradshaw of Ransomville; two sisters, Sarah (late Steve) Thompson of Clearwater, FL and Lisa Bradshaw of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Roemer; a brother, Milton (Mildred) Bradshaw; a sister, Judith (late Robert) Philbrick; and a sister-in-law, Frances (James) O'Rourke.Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth and Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10:30 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Sebastian C. Pierro officiating. (Please assemble at Church). In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
