MIDDLEPORT - Karen J. Pollworth of Middleport, passed away Monday evening, October 18, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Pollworth was born in Medina, NY, on April 4, 1947, daughter of the late Norman and Viola (Fitch) Lindke. Mrs. Pollworth has lived in Middleport since 1977 and was employed at Fisher Price. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and she enjoyed her family, antiquing, flower gardening, art and crafts including painting. She was an environmental activist and she also enjoyed cats. She was predeceased by a sister, Viola Lindke; and a brother, Richard Lindke. She is survived by her three children, Kyle Pollworth of Tennessee, Brian (Krystal) Pollworth of Gasport and Jennifer (Tony) Waldron of Indiana; two step-children, Jeffrey (Christina) Pollworth of Tennessee and Scott (Shari) Pollworth of S. Carolina; also surviving are six grandchildren, Justyn Pollworth of N. Carolina, Joseph Clark, Connor Pollworth and Liam Pollworth, all of Gasport, Kenneth Pollworth of Tennessee and Sean Pollworth of S. Carolina; two sisters, Bonnie (Alberto) Cicciarelli of Lockport and Deborah (Marvin) Frey of Middleport; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may all Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7- 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Rt. 31, Middleport, NY, with the Rev. David Triplett officiating. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
